My passion for good food started a long time ago when I returned to the land of my birth, northern India, and discovered what really fresh, naturally grown food looks, smells and tastes like. Since then I have sought, but only occasionally found ingredients of the same quality and freshness, until at last I had the time and space to grow my own.
In the harsh Australian climate, on a former sheep station on the Central Tablelands of NSW, about 250km west of Sydney near the city of Orange I set about realising my long term ambition of growing my own food. You can read about the ongoing challenges and rewards of this exercise here.
Welcome
I’ve created this site to share my passion for good food with like minded people around the world. People who enjoy cooking, eating, growing, reading or writing about great food. People, who like me, care about what they eat, where their food comes from, how it is produced and what impact the production of that food has on their health and the health of their environment.
Over time, I propose to cover all aspects of food, recipes, cooking techniques, production of food etc., with links to other sites of interest.
